Afghanistan is in the midst of a devastating humanitarian crisis.

On August 15, 2021, Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, fell to the Taliban military, escalating an already precarious humanitarian crisis in a country riddled by decades of war.

Thanks to the nonstop efforts of dedicated organizations and individuals, there are many ways, both locally and nationally, to donate and help the influx of Afghan refugees seeking a new life in the United States.

Whether you’re looking for ways to volunteer or make a financial contribution, please consider one of the established local organizations or funds listed on this page.

We will continue to update this list as new resources and information about the crisis in Afghanistan and her refugees are available.
